Environmental Lawyer and Advocate
Richard Grosso is a public interest environmental and land use lawyer, dedicated to advising, advocating and litigating on behalf of clients seeking to use the law to promote and protect the public interest in preserving our natural resource, communities, and planet. My practice is dedicated to supporting environmental sustainability and restoration and the protection of ecosystems and special communities.
My primary office is in Broward County, Florida, and I provide services throughout the state of Florida and in Washington, D.C. My practice in Washington DC consists of non-attorney consulting, as I am not licensed to practice law as a member of the Washington DC Bar.
I have practiced before local and state agencies in Florida and state and federal administrative tribunals and courts for 35 years, and am equally experienced in the area of government agency policy-making processes, agency adjudications and courtroom litigation.
I have worked extensively on the local, state and federal policy, legal and agency decision-making aspects of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, cutting edge "carrying capacity" land use planning in the Florida Keys, climate and sea level rise sustainability issues in south Florida and a wide variety of environmental and land use issues throughout Florida.
I have experience in state, federal, administrative and civil court, and am a member of the Florida Bar and United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern District of Florida, and of the United States Supreme Court.
I am available to represent clients before a variety of Florida state agencies, federal agencies, and local governments in Florida, and in Florida and federal courts.
